The colors of fall are beautiful without enhancement. Even so, the sun plays tricks by moving low in the Southern sky to light up the fall colors from the side. In the deep south, low sun is a kitchen caught between cross breezes; sleep uninterrupted beneath a duvet; a sweater; acorns falling like rain and crunching under foot like ice; squirrels gleaning crops; high waves on the beach; more time spent outside; and clocks turned back. Love that low sun.
