Close your eyes to ponder, rest, meditate. There in the dark you can think pleasant thought, imagine future plans, remember happy days. But in the deepest dark of the night when your mind is active, the thoughts are not positive. They are worrisome, gruesome, disastrous. Timing your dark times seems to make a difference. Daydream more, lie awake less.

Don’t answer, explain, get angry,
just let it flow through
as you breathe deeply
Then you forget the mind thoughts.
