I wanted to learn the ukulele because I thought it would get me out of the house and with people. It worked. I’m in a small group of players who meet weekly and we even had a gig this weekend. One of the songs we sang was “Honeysuckle Rose,” which I can’t seem to get out of my mind. Is there a variety of rose called honeysuckle rose? Or is Rose a woman who is sweet as honeysuckle nectar? I even read about Katniss finding honeysuckle to soothe her throat in “The Hunger Games” this weekend. It’s been a sweet weekend.
