“Of course” ” You know why I cant stand the way she talks about me, behind my back and blames her problems on everyone else”
Of course and destination the underground stream does not reveal
it surges in blackness, alone hears its weeping and wailing
its ripples and laughter
Above the sun may shine, the wind play with my hair
but underneath the water is churning with memories
of you
A simple yes or no would suffice. When someone says “Of course,” I hear uncertainty .” Honestly ” means that I am about to be lied to. “All apologizes” comes out as I just got caught. The less we say the better. Truthfully.
Of course I am supposed to trust that it will all work out in the end. Of course my experience says this is true, but will be painful along the way. Of course one more time we are left in a precarious position. Of course I am supposed to trust.
Of course you didn’t mean to hurt me. “I feel so easy and comfortable with you,” you used to say. Now all the memories are in the past, and I have to face the world again. I know we weren’t meant to be, but it’s still sad that we pass by each other like strangers. I wanted to stay friends, but I just can’t. You wouldn’t understand this, of course…
I can’t believe we’re finally here. It felt like forever!
