The other day I was talking with a published author who revealed she had no website and did not use Twitter. I assume that most of you who comment here have a website or blog, but are you tweeting? A few years back I talked to my local writers group – Southwest Writers Workshop – about how writers can use Twitter to promote their work. I’m posting the slides I used for that here. Hope it helps some of you Twitter newbies.
Please leave a comment with your first 50 words on the topic “writers, are you tweeting?” If you use Twitter to promote yourself as a writer, feel free to leave your Twitter name as a comment.

Thanks for this! I’m a new self-pubbed author on Amazon and I also have a blog. I do tweet, occasionally, but I kind of find it hard to connect with anyone on Twitter or know exactly what to tweet. I have hardly any followers. I’m definitely going to check out your slides! Thanks! (My twitter name is: angst_victoria)
Just be yourself and say whats in your head lol. Good luck! Followed!
haha…there’s some crazy stuff in this ole head of mine! Thanks for the post and I’ve started to apply myself a bit more.
Yep. Imma tweeter. I share my own work from time to time, but mostly I just pass on fun trivia and links that I find interesting from other people. I like to participate in the Trending Topics – when I don’t feel too old to understand them. Ha! You can find me under @senobia.
I love your posts! You’re being back learning to social media! And Trending Topics is really small-minded these days. Nothing particularly interesting.
No
I have used Twitter for years but I’m just now using it to actually market myself. Trying to get my book blog and personal blog off the ground. People are very visual so I have more followers on Tumblr and Instagram. You can find me @cristaramone
