Beautiful

Walking before the sun rises over the mountain to the east of me on a summer morning provides many a beautiful treat. Today the moon was still bright in the west with bright pink clouds illuminated near it. Nature has many beautiful things to offer. Take, for instance, the different facets of its four seasons. Not many of us take the time out of our busy schedules to appreciate it. It definitely makes me think that there is a greater Being responsible for having created it for our enjoyment.

People always tell me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone understands the word “beauty” a bit differently. To some people, a luscious green country side comes to mind, or the reflection of a full moon on a blue lake, shimmering magically on the surface. Although this is a perfectly good example of “beautiful”, other people might imagine a skillfully painted picture, or a goddess, her soft hair falling just below her pale shoulders.
