Tiny

You could say a spider or a centipede or a roach is tiny, especially when compared with an overfed American human or even a shoe in the hand. But something tiny can spur violent action. Sometimes it doesn’t even have to be a tiny thing. It could be a tiny idea. Violence is just in us.

    The five-year-old pianist jumped on the piano bench and seemed to be meditating before he put his tiny hands on the keyboard and began executing the difficult Bach prelude. His feet didn’t even reach the pedals, but that peculiar characteristic did not distract the captive audience from simply being mesmerized by the virtuosity of his playing. He was focused, and you could see how he had become part of the piece and one with the instrument.
