Much as his mother tried to make him one, Oscar was never the family’s golden boy. Instead of going to medical school, he bought a sailboat and moved to Belize. No, it was Martina who did everything right – the right degree, the big job, the perfect mate.

    “Oscar”!!My daughter jumped off her chair , note books, pencils, pens, flying in all directions “.Oh my god”!!, Hair whipping her face, she flew all the way to the living room and plonked herself on the sofa.Totally oblivious to the startled looks around her she sat, glued, watching the oscar awards night unfold.Awe struck she gaped at the stars on the red carpet….

    The disco tune came on the radio, and she suddenly remembered Oscar, her dancing partner. Boy, did they have great times on the dance floor, and he definitely had been a great dancer. She wondered what had become of him and if he still enjoyed dancing as much as she did.

    She pulled into her usual parking spot at work and sat in the car until the rhythmic tune ended. As she shut the motor. she mused with a sigh…a song tied to a memory. It has to be one of the sweetest amalgams that exists.
