Color develops before fully brewed

She read the label: color develops before fully brewed. What did that mean? The coffee looked really dark, but was it fully brewed? Why couldn’t they help you with instructions like tea bags have: steep for 5 minutes. God forbid she should drink it before it was fully brewed. She wanted something definite like a statement saying you’d get maximum caffeine in exactly three minutes of dunking.

Maybe she should just go to Starbucks.
