Just yesterday

Just yesterday a friend and I were walking to Whole Foods for breakfast. It was a sunny morning, we were well and free. We had enough money to eat at Whole Foods. Yet our conversation was about the horrible state of the world and how corrupt everything is. Why didn’t we just enjoy the walk, the day, the event? We were still thinking about our online connectedness to the state of the digital world and we were paying no attention to the real world we walked through.

  1. Just yesterday a colleague of mine startled me with a concerned look as I approached her desk. She gawked at the left side of my face, and then shook her head slowly. It was my eye, she said, it was red and looked infected. I did not feel any irritation…
