Pajama Party

Yeah, okay, so like, this may be too much information, but I sleep in regular clothes. Old shorts, old tee shirts. So sometimes in the summer when I want to get in a walk before it gets hot, I just walk in the same clothes I slept in. I don’t think I’m the only person in my neighborhood who does that. It’s a regular pajama party on the trail some days. Shorts and tank tops, stretched out tee shirts, baggy pants, hats over the bed hair.

  1. I live with my daughter and two teen aged grandchildren. The youngest (fifteen) decided to have a coed. slumber party. Of course they kept me up all night, but that wasn’t the worst part of it. One of the little monsters had lice and infested our entire house. What a nightmare.

  2. Robin was hosting one of her sedate teenage pajama parties along with a few friends and then Brielle showed up. She flung her raincoat across the bed and started prancing around the room as if modeling down a runway. The girls were wide-eyed and open-mouthed. They couldn’t believe Brielle was wearing a nightie underneath her raincoat.

“Where’s the other half of that!?” Robin asked stunned.

“Wadda ya mean? Don’t you keep up with the fashion trends? This is the latest thing at Victoria’s Secret!

“How were you able to buy that?

“Are you serious? Brielle stood with arms akimbo. “I borrowed it from my sister, but she doesn’t know it.”

“You’re so crazy, Brie! Your sister is gonna kill you when she finds out.”

“Well, if she finds out, I’ll know who told her!”

  3. The kids always look forward to the visit to their cousins house. In the evenings, when the excitement settles down, the dog having licked everyone to his hearts’ content, the dishes having washed and put away; an impromptu pyjama party breaks out.Pillow fights, dancing to latest chartbusters, swapping school stories and hushed gossip exchanges. The older two children ensconced in a quiet corner , exchange their song lists, and reading lists. The youngsters raising cain, making cheese omelettes, having a ball…….
