Push Notification

Wouldn’t it be nice if you got push notifications from your muse? GO WRITE SOMETHING would appear in an alert box right before your eyes. You couldn’t do anything else until you’d written something and could X out of the alert box. Of course, once you get started you can’t stop, so you’d be writing all day. Where do I sign up for that alert?

  1. The world would be a much more peaceful place if we could have a push notification to relax. You know, take the time to stop and smell the roses? I could just imagine everyone’s anxiety level decrease after they’d taken several slow and deep breaths. We’d open our eyes and take in the NOW, and appreciate the moment. Add a thought of gratitude and, wow, you don’t know it….. but your smiling.

  2. Well, your blog is very close to such a push notification system from a muse! Many of your prompts just push their readers to write whether on the blog here or in our works in progress. For me it is often the second. Every time I press the like button to one of your posts (and it happens quite often) I am inspired to write. Thank you for doing this!

  3. The push notification for me is mostly first 50 as someone has already pointed out. Wish we had met earlier, when the grass was greener, hair less gray and blacker, grey cells numerous and faster, fingers nimbler and less-arthritic,and thinking abilities agile-er.Sigh!! And no, no push notification for relaxing for me!! Anymore relaxation and I will have merged with the grey couch in the living room, having petrified out of sheer ennui.

  4. Every time you download an application, it asks you if you’ll allow it to send you push notifications. Again, part of the new language of advancing technology and again, another form of information overload. Luckily, we can sort out what push notifications we’d like to receive and which ones we can live without.
