I write a book

I am born.
I play with words.
Tongue twisters, rhymes, jokes.
I learn to read.
I scribble endlessly. Words. Words. I write a book.
I want to edit every page after it’s published.

Please leave a comment with your first 50 words on the topic “I write a book.” Thanks to vichizli  for the prompt.

  1. I write a book. There’s an impulse I can’t keep within, a voice I need to set free. It struggles to break loose of my skin prison, contemptible of the fact that we need each other to survive. We are two sides of the same coin. His freedom is mine.

  2. I write a book filled with snippets from my life. Names of loved ones, now long gone, are scattered throughout its pages—validating them. The ordinary events of my life now become extraordinary and almost fantastic as thoughts and memories pour on to the paper allowing me to live my life for a second time.

  3. I look at my family’s story. It’s so sad and I resist to go back to it. Somebody says, “If you are afraid of something, write about it.” I am terrified. So I write a book about it. And I find so much happiness in that same story.

  4. When will I write a book?
Probably never. I may never be able to muster the amount of phenomenal courage, patience and perseverance required to write a book.
But prompts and blogs , yes. More like it.
I may fall asleep over my own creation!! How can I grab my reader’s attention and keep it riveted through all those pages ? Impossible. Write a book ? No, thank you. I am content with my small write-ups.
