So Pluto has a heart. Is Pluto sending us a love message? Does this frozen orb want to regain its former status as a planet? Or is it simply letting the universe know that it sends friendly greetings to those who choose to fly by?

  1. The captain stood on the bridge of his spaceship and gazed at the image of the small planet, Pluto. He’d be there by morning. Gendra, the interplanetary scientist, was there conducting research. He sighed. She was a great scientist. She was beautiful–She was the alien who broke his heart.

  2. “Have a heart , lady!!” The man called out, piteously, holding out his wares . I had just walked away from his overpriced flower-pots , after a prolonged and futile haggling session.
    “Don’t look back, Ma!!” My daughter hissed into my ears, holding my elbow , proprietorially.
    “O, Madam!!” The guy was really persistent.
    I looked pleadingly at my daughter.
    “He might have changed his mind , you know !”
    “No.” Her grip on my elbow tightened .
