Dream Lover

Dream lover,
You support and encourage.
Dream lover,
You tolerate my every flaw.
Dream lover,
You’re aware of my needs.
Dream lover,
You’re a funny friend.
Dream lover,
You’re a charming companion.
Dream lover,
Where the hell are you?

  1. Dream lover I’ll never be, just as I’ll never be a dream saver. Lover of the imagined, yes. Lover of the future, yes. lover of the emergent, yes. All of these have origins in the real while dreams are fantasy. Dreams are fodder for science fiction while, Imagineering, future goals, emergence nurture what will be. I can’t remember any song praising a dream lover, but I do remember the song from decades ago, “Che sera, sera” or whatever will be, will be. Dream lover or evolutionist?. It takes both in our world.

  2. Oh, in the beginning he certainly was a dream lover. He wined me. He dined me. He loved to cook and was an excellent gourmand. He was devilishly handsome. He sung while driving. His smile lit up a room. He loved to dance. He wanted to know all about me. He told me he loved me madly. That was the key word: madly. It didn’t take very long for him to go from dream lover to devil from hell. He would call me incessantly at the office. Flowers were deliveredweekly. He followed me everywhere. He threatened to kill himself when I tried to break up with him. He accused me of having other lovers. It was my one and only experience dealing with someone so evil and sick. I now prefer fairly average fellows. Much easier that way!

  3. Dream lover!
He came to me in my dreams, when I was at my lowest… He hugged me tight and held me close… He kissed me soft and tickled my toes… He shared my laughs and sent away my woes… I woke up confused if it was real or I had imagined the prose!!!
