Going Right

The news is too much with us. The things that are going right are buried under an avalanche of pain and suffering. I’m trying to remind myself each day that I’m still here, my life is enjoyable, and the sun is shining on a beautiful world. Hope you are, too.

  1. Not allowing one thought of more carnage to come somewhere in the United States or anywhere in the world. Not allowing one single thought of the possibility of a sociopath winning the presidential election. Things are going right today. Sunny, sultry day. Birds chirping. Flowers blooming. Dog snoozing. Kitties exploring. Jazz playing. Hubby happy. Life’s too short. At the shortest part of mine. Goin’ right only thing to do today. Ain’t gonna let it go any other way!

  2. “‘Everything goin’ right with you today?” Someone cares. What a beautiful way to start a day or even restart a day. Goin’ right is the opposite of goin’ wrong. The morning coffee was good; the toast just right; I was able to meditate and then write a decent Haiku centered on the beauty Nature presented. Oh yes, it seems this day is goin’ just right, thank you.

  3. “Tell me am I going right?”
    She grunted in reply.
“Is this the right turn ?” He was a shade hysterical now . He hated not being in charge of the direction , and having to depend on a temperamental sister, who was taciturn , now.
“I said yes. Sheesh , can’t even hear!”
Both went for some distance in sullen silence . Traffic honked and swerved, racing past them. They were slow, hugging the kerb.
