Coupons are nice, but we get coupons for all the wrong things. We need coupons for an education or medical care. We need coupons for parental leave. How about a coupon for equal pay? I could use one of those babies.

  1. It was so embarrassing. Lindsay hid her face in her hands as Grandma dug through her enormous purse for coupons that would save her exactly $2.18. “Grandma, I’ll pay the two dollars, let’s GO!!,” Lindsay urged. “No dear, it’s the principle of the matter,” said Grandma, “I’ll put the money I’m saving into your college account so you’ll graduate debt free.” Sure Grandma, Lindsay thought, that two bucks will buy me a couple of pencils and a Snickers bar. After an interminable few minutes and countless impatient gazes from the others in the grocery line, the coupons were located. Now to count out the exact change…
