The pancakes

I stood, spatula in hand, semi-transfixed. The batter sizzled as it hit the griddle. I watched as tiny bubbles popped to the surface. The batter heated and solidified. The blueberries reached a boiling point and popped, shooting out blue goodness like tiny volcanoes. Then I flipped them over and looked at the perfect brown done side. Success was mine.

  1. The pancakes were done to perfection and in record time. Her mouth watered as she saw the gooeyness of the chocolate chips melting on the griddle. She set her plate on the table and went to pour her first cup of coffee of the day in her favorite mug. The sun shone brightly and the birds were chirping. It was a splendid morning welcoming her and all of nature after a stormy night.
