Back in the ancient past, I had a particular day for laundry. It took all day, for one thing. There were plenty of dirty clothes. Nowadays I just do it whenever. Whenever I have the energy, whenever the hamper is too full, whenever I run out of clean undies. It takes minutes, not all day. I toss in a little squishy pouch of premeasured detergent and go on my way.
Many things in life are not better now than they once were, but laundry definitely is.
