Go Take a Hike

Back in the day when language was full of taboos, telling someone to go take a hike was the equivalent of telling them to fuck off. There are no language taboos left. Even 3 year old toddlers can use formerly unspeakable words in the appropriate context and with feeling. Words lose their power. I remember when “that sucks” first got started, it grated on my entire body. Now I say it myself. I need a break. I think I’ll go take a hike.

  1. Shoo, fly, you buzz in my ear, scruitnizing my focus. How the fuck dare you!!! Dammit, I can’t write! What hallucinations taunt me, what creatures crawl upon my flesh, no inspiration, no insight, just prickles, the crawling, oh the creeping, cries of forbidden laughter slip from my lips! Madness, go take a hike! Dammit, you are no use to me now. You have surfaced and I am lost of my depth.

  2. Because it’s a beautiful day, hikers should go and take a hike, and they will immensely enjoy it. Taking a hike allows one to vigorously exercise the body, while ameliorating their mental state. The profound breathing of fresh air and brisk walking leads to a small amount of perspiration, yet it is keenly enjoyable and healthy.
